The GFT Finance Books and Records Transformation NAM Program
lead will be responsible for end to end North American
Transformation stream. This role will oversee 4 distinct sub
streams and manage the organization of the plan, capturing the work
in flight, defining the new work, and identifying the
interdependencies with other workstreams. In addition, this role
will be responsible for providing transparency to senior Citi
stakeholders and regulators. This role will be an influencer role,
and much of the responsibility will be on communicating and
ensuring that key members of GFT, ICG and GCB are staffed and
funded to achieve their delivery as part of the overall program.
The role will be required to engage and collaborate closely with
the overall O&T and Finance Transformation stream leadership as
well as within Global Functions TechnologyThe IT Project Sr Group
Manager manages multiple teams through other managers. In-depth
understanding of how own sub-function contributes to achieving the
objectives of the function. A good understanding of the industry,
direct competitors' products and services, is also necessary in
order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business.
Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the
function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a
solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or
area of expertise and related subject areas. Excellent
communication skills required in order to negotiate internally,
often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation
may be necessary. Responsible for executing functional strategy in
area managed. Determines approach to implementing functional
strategy. Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy
formulation and contribution to future strategy of the area(s).
Impact reflects size of team managed, strategic influence on the
business and interaction with other functions or businesses. Full
management responsibility for multiple teams, including management
of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as
performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions
and terminations and budget approval. May be doing involved or
responsible for diverse (cross-discipline) activities. Typically, a
direct report to a C16 role and function as an integral member of
the functional leadership team within a country/site location, job
family, or line of business.
- Ensures IT projects are defined, tracked and communicated.
- Partners with IT and business leadership and other key
stakeholders to identify opportunities and to prioritize projects
based on business needs.
- Impacts the business by exercising control over sizeable
resources / budget, policy formulation and planning and by
significant contribution to the future strategy of IT project
- Evaluates subordinates' performance and makes decisions on pay
increases, hiring, terminations and other personnel actions.
- Applies a broad and comprehensive understanding in multiple
functional areas as well as underlying business principles.
- Establishes strategic plans for function.
- Understands how the IT project leadership function integrates
within the overall organization to contribute to achieving business
objectives; requires a good working knowledge of the industry.
- Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual
information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations; draws on
diverse range of internal and external sources.
- Influences and negotiates with senior leaders (across
functions); may communicate with external parties.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made,
demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation
and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving
compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to
Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal
behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing
and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as
effectively supervise the activity of others and create
accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- 15+ years experience in a related technology role with
commensurate people management experience
- 8+ years' experience with senior technology leadership
experience, encompassing full life cycle
- 8+ years experience as Program Manager
- 3+ years' experience working in Financial Services or a large
complex environment managing global teams
- Must have experience with regulatory implementations
- Oracle /SAP experience is highly desired
- Organizational and coordination skills along with multi-tasking
capabilities to get things done in an environment.
- Ability to motivate and focus a collaboration to reach
- Demonstrated experience as a strong leader who can prioritize
well, communicate clearly and compellingly, effectively influencing
across cross functional teams
- Articulate and effective communicator, both orally and in
- Strong interpersonal skills, with evidence of working in
collaboration across large, complex organizations, including
effective influencing skills, a proactive and 'no surprises'
approach in communicating issues/requests -
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, Masters
