Job Description:
Supporting the firm's Director of Employee Benefits. The Senior
Benefits Manager leads the Defined Contribution (DC) team (internal
staff and outsourced recordkeeper) in managing activities in regard
to HR, Benefits, Payroll and other inter-related functions in the
operation of the AIG 401k Plan and the Puerto Rico Capital Growth
Savings Plan. Also responsible for legacy Non-Qualified Deferred
Compensations Plans. The Plans include approx. 37,300 account
holders with $7.6 Billion of 401k Plan assets. The role provides
subject matter expertise and coordinates with Legal, Compliance,
Payroll, Alight and Northern Trust as needed on administration and
changes, divestitures and acquisitions, trust to trust transfers,
POA orders, subpoena requests, QDROS and Proxy requests.
- Evaluates DC benefit programs including costing, utilization
and funding contribution and match models and required budget
accruals.
- Develop DC reports when requested by Benefits Director and
generate reports to the Retirement Board with analysis of
trends.
- Oversees accurate completion of DC required processes,
including but not limited to, nondiscrimination testing, IRS 5500
filing, fee notices and plan documentation, PWC audit process and
review of Plan financials.
- Manages the Alight 401k recordkeeping team and one internal AIG
Senior Analyst monitoring all recordkeeping activities.
- Develop Plan materials, such as SPDs enrollment, guides,
posters, letters and streaming media to communicate benefit
programs to employees.
-Requirements:
- Minimum five (5) years of experience managing Defined
Contribution plans in a large organization including experience
with trust to trust transfers, acquisitions and divestitures.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations
affecting DC plans, Human Resources and Benefits.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the
ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees
throughout the organization including senior management.
- Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office
(Word, PowerPoint, Access) with expert level experience in
Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and proven project management
experience.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Superior organizational skills with strong attention to detail,
follow up and problem solving resolution.
- Experience with Workday and HRIS systems highly desirable.
