Description:Job purpose:The Senior Revenue Cycle Consultant is responsible for the successful implementation of Med-Metrix's Suite of Revenue Cycle Technology Software including, but not limited to, Hospital and Professional Fee Front End Patient Access Workflow, Patient Accounting Workflow, Denials Workflow, and Liability Estimator. As the project leader, the Senior Revenue Cycle Consultant is responsible in leading a project team consisting of an associate consultant and a team of Software Developers & QA Analysts during all phases of an implementation which include the planning, design, configuration, user acceptance testing, training, delivery, and monitoring of our AnalytX Technologies. Candidates will have a strong understanding of Revenue Cycle best practices, lead the change management process, translating business needs into program requirements, preferably in the Hospital Revenue Cycle or Physician Billing environments.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Independently and collaboratively contribute to assessments of an organization's patient access and revenue cycle capabilities, including clinical departments, central billing offices, and all related front-end/ back-end functions by way of site observations, stakeholder interviews, document review, data driven insights and process mapping
  • Conduct design sessions with the client to understand and document the requirements for the system for optimized efficiency including the incorporation of tools and techniques such as RPA while utilizing and adopting to Med-Metrix identified best practices and methodologies to work the right account at the right time
  • Conduct research for and perform data collection, analysis, and narrative development to support project deliverables and presentation content for client and Med-Metrix project team
  • Proactively manage and escalate risks and issues internally to leadership
  • Mentorship of associate level consultants
  • Use, protect and disclose patients' protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards
  • Limit viewing of PHI to the absolute minimum as necessary to perform assigned duties
  • Report any security or HIPAA violations or concerns to the HIPAA Officers in a timely fashion
    Requirements:Qualifications:
    • A Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of implementations or consulting experience focused on Revenue Cycle Performance Improvement or equivalent Healthcare industry experience
    • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to troubleshoot, understand and summarize detailed customer issues
    • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the professionalism and EI to engage clients at all levels, from Hospital VPs to customer support representatives.
    • Strong business writing skills, with a demonstrated ability to drill down to the key points in a complex problem and clearly articulate the next steps
    • Proficiency with foundational consulting skills, such as analytical, written, and verbal communication; possesses appropriate client presence, facilitation, and presentation abilities
    • Foster Teamwork: Work cooperatively and effectively with others, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
    • Make Decisions: Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization
    • Organize: Set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details/data/information/activities.
    • High Proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel and VisioWorking conditions:
      • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overtime when needed
      • Travel to client sites will be required up to 50%
