Senior Associate, Regulatory Filings

Job Description:

The Position


This role is responsible for supporting the regulatory filing obligations for the Fortitude Re Group of Companies (the "Companies"). Regulatory filings will include US State and Federal filings for insurance and property and casualty companies, Bermuda Monetary Authority filing obligation, etc.


Key Responsibilities


Manage and maintain the Companies' regulatory filing obligations including of the following:



Managing and maintaining the master filing inventory


Completing and submitting filings on behalf of the Companies


Acting as a gatekeeper for all filings to insure timely completion


Working with key stakeholders to gather information and data required in the filings and/or helping those stakeholder complete required filings


Developing a document management structure to maintain all appropriate documentation as evidence of completion as well as filings procedures, reference guides, etc.


Developing and providing ongoing reporting on the filing process, status, etc.


Communication, training and education on the filing process


Managing and overseeing vendors that provide filing support


Supporting and researching regulatory change management regarding filing obligations


Supporting regulatory inquiries and exams that involve filing data and requests


Other Compliance/Financial Management support as needed



Qualifications and Experience Requirements



Compliance or Finance professional with 5 years of financial services industry experience.


Experience in core financial services regulatory filings requirements including:


Regulatory Filings and registrations


State filings requirements for insurance, annuities and/or property and casualty companies


SEC filingsNon-US filingRegulatory ExamsThird party administrator oversightAbility to work effectively in a high-pressured and fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently and execute program elementsExtremely well organized, with excellent time management skillsAbility to manage and oversee team members, both internal and third-party resourcesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCollaborative approachDiscretion with confidential information, excellent judgmentAbility to demonstrate flexibility handling multiple projects, both large and small, while maintaining a high level of detail-orientationFluent in Microsoft Office suite of applications, e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
