Job Description:

A services company in New Jersey is looking to add a new Collections Specialist I to join their growing team. In this role, the Collections Specialist I will be responsible for locating and notifying customers of delinquent accounts by mail, telephone, or personal visit to solicit payment.

***This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite at least 3 day a week.***

Responsibilities:

The Collections Specialist I will be responsible for:

• Receiving payment and posting amount to customer's account
• Preparing statements to credit department if customer fails to respond
• Initiating repossession proceedings or service disconnection
• Keeping records of collection and status of accounts
• Performing other duties, as needed Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience with Cash Applications and/or a related field
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Experience with Internal Customer-facing
  • Experience with Business to Business Collections
  • Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized Desired Skills:
    • Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree
