Job Description:
Join us as an AVP -Strategy & Transformation, where you will be
responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of strategic
projects, working with individuals across the organization to
achieve long-term, tangible impacts for the bank. The Strategy and
Transformation team drives organizational strategy for USCB
Operations, business transformation, and operational enhancements
across Barclays US Consumer Bank. We partner with senior leaders to
lead large-scale projects across the organization, deliver
actionable insights, and execute high-impact solutions from
ideation to implementation. To be successful as an AVP -Strategy &
Transformation, you should have: Experience in strategy consulting,
corporate strategy, startups (FinTechs), investment banking,
private equity/venture capital, strategic finance, or similar roles
with specific focus in Operations (Contact Centres, Fraud,
Collections etc.) Excellent project management skills with an
analytical and detail-oriented mindset and clear communication
skills, both written and verbal Strategic thought leadership,
complex problem solving and developing strategic frameworks
Stakeholders and cross functional team management Bachelor’s degree
with evidence of intellectual curiosity, being a self-starter, and
ability to structure complex problems Some other highly valued
skills may include: Credit Card, Consumer Banking, or Payments
industry knowledge/experience Experience supporting transformation
programmes in a regulated environment Understanding of Consumer
Payments and a proven track record of leading strategic
initiatives, market analysis, and business transformation You may
be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in
role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation,
business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as
well as job-specific technical skills. This role is located in
Whippany, NJ. Purpose of the role To provide independent and
balanced advice and counsel to senior stakeholders through problem
identification, solving and decision making practices.
Accountabilities Provision of strategic advice to Group Executives
to support the decision-making process of business challenges and
opportunities. Development and implementation of strategic advisory
incentives to grow and optimise the bank’s operations, through
market research and analysis. Collaboration with various
stakeholder groups to identify the appropriate strategic direction
type to meet the needs of Barclays clients and investors.
Development of financial models to support strategic
recommendations and transactions through financial data analysis,
financial projects and considering the financial impact of
transactions. Management of transactions, negotiations, transaction
structure development and post-transaction integration.
Collaboration with internal stakeholders to maintain client
relationships, and develop new relationships to identify
opportunities. Identification of industry trends, maintain peer
benchmarking and developments related to strategic advisory
services by attendings conferences, participating in training and
conducting market research. Assistant Vice President Expectations

Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions. Lead
a team performing complex tasks, using well developed professional
knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole
business function. Set objectives and coach employees in pursuit of
those objectives, appraisal of performance relative to objectives
and determination of reward outcomes If the position has leadership

in relation to the work done. Perform work that is closely related
to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas
coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of
the organisation sub-function. Collaborate with other areas of
work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with
business activity and the business strategy. Engage in complex
analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and
external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas,
teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and
effectively. Communicate complex information. Complex information
could include sensitive information or information that is
difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.
Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes. All
