Job Description Job Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Catasauqua , Pennsylvania, on a long-term contract basis. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong accounting expertise, particularly in manufacturing environments. You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with organizational standards. Responsibilities: • Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting. • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to support month-end and year-end closing processes. • Utilize Oracle systems to manage and analyze financial data effectively. • Perform cost accounting tasks to support manufacturing operations and budget tracking. • Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement in financial processes. • Generate and review financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. • Monitor and resolve discrepancies in accounting records promptly. • Support the organization with ad hoc financial tasks and projects as needed. • Proven experience in accounting, preferably in manufacturing environments. • Proficiency in using Oracle systems for financial management. • Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger reconciliation. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with team members. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred. • Experience with cost accounting is highly desirable.
