Are you a leader with in-depth marketing experience and a passion for digital and traditional media? Are you looking to bring your agency experience in house and be part of a growing team? At Jackson Hewitt, we are looking for marketing leader who will push boundaries and write the next chapter on how consumers experience digital and traditional marketing. By developing media strategies to acquire new customers and increase engagement with existing customers, this data-driven digital marketing leader will take our brand to the next level of maturity and sophistication.





What you'll do here:


This critical leadership role will deliver measurable impact by overseeing the execution of effective integrated media strategies across channels collaborating with cross functional teams such as audience strategy, promotions, ecommerce and CRM.



Design our cross-channel paid media strategy alongside our agency partners, including TV, radio and digital advertising, in collaboration with our media agencies and Marketing leadership to enhance customer acquisition and retention


Build consensus for media plans across Jackson Hewitt, including among company executives and ownership


Monitor and analyze media performance for continuous optimization and improvement, including overseeing our media mix and attribution modeling


Identify new channels, platforms and/or tactics for testing and learning to facilitate growth and reduce reliance on existing channels/platforms/tactics


Manage our traditional and digital media agencies and build relationships with relevant media vendors (e.g., advertising company reps, third party data providers)


Creation of effective media briefs and briefing process for both internal stakeholders and partner agencies


Partner with our Audience Strategy and Analytics teams, and utilize our platforms/tools to understand, refine and target our customer segments


Collaborate with our Creative team to help design compelling ads fit for each channel and audience


Report on media performance and insights to the broader Marketing team and company executives



Skills you'll bring for success:



10+ years of work experience in traditional (TV, radio) and digital (search, social, display, affiliate, video) media within a corporate marketing department or agency


Expertise in digital advertising is particularly important, including proficient use of relevant platforms (e.g., Google Analytics)


Desire to lead people and be part of a fun and motivated team


Strong analytical capabilities - there is always more data, but you can identify the right data and how to interpret it


Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information in easy-to-understand and concise manners with clear recommendations


Capable of managing ambiguity, adapting to change and reacting quickly - tax season is short and we often have to move faster than a normal retail company


Ability to partner effectively with a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders


Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field of study; will consider work experience as a substitute for unrelated fields of study
