Job Description:
Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled
Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria,
Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center
in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program
management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate
is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure
management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction
management services in support of the US Department of Defense
(DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps)
missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the
world.The Engineer will provide the VA Capitol Health Care Network
(VISN 5) support services in construction field inspections, space
planning/allocations, and drawing management. Additional support
services are required to meet the increasing demands currently
being experienced by the VISN 5 VA Health Care Service. -Contract
term: 1 year -Location: Washington D.C. Salary: The salary range
for this position, based on market data, is $80K-$90K per annum
(depending on experience). -This position is contingent on a Task
Order award. -Key responsibilities: -
- Develop VAMHCS Space and Capital Asset Management Policy and
Programs regarding the efficient and effective utilization of
existing space and developing new space to VA Design Guide
Standards.
- Work closely with medical and administrative staff to determine
optimum locations and size of clinical and administrative spacing
to meet evolving healthcare requirements. -
- Provide full-scope project management duties in a variety of
construction, repair, and maintenance contracts involving civil,
architectural, electrical, and mechanical systems and components.

- Perform or direct surveys and investigations to establish
baseline data necessary to initiate the design -Qualifications to
be successful in the role: -
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited
university
- Minimum of five-seven years of experience in engineering
(civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, safety, etc) and
construction management of buildings and structures -
- Expertise in the utilization of a variety of database/drafting
programs, space and asset management systems, such as SCIP, CAI,
AEMS/MERS Space File, VISTA Fileman, CAD/BIM/Revit, Vlogic
drawings, FM Systems/FM Interact, and SEPG PFD -
- Knowledge in scheduling cost estimating, and overall design
integration
- Able to review and resolve engineering issues associated with
construction and specification documents -
- Medical center experience is highly preferred
- Familiarity with military programming rules and documentation
is desirable -
- Strong understanding of construction techniques and practice

- Able to problem-solve and troubleshoot as the need arises

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills -
- Must lawfully reside in the United States and be eligible for
