PRODUCT ENGINEER INTERN





Location: Aptar Pharma, 250 N Route 303, Congers, NY

Schedule: Interns are expected to work 1 to 2 days per week during the academicschool year, depending on their class schedule. During school break,there is the potential to work up to 5 days per week.

Duration: 6 months

Aptar Pharma is a global solution provider of innovative and proven aerosol, injection, and spray delivery systems for biotech, healthcare, and pharma applications. Our systems and components are found in numerous medicines such as nasal sprays, pulmonary inhalers, ophthalmic droppers, and injection devices.



At our Congers, New York facility, we manufacture delivery systems and provide local support services for our United States and Canada customers. Our manufacturing processes include plastic injection molding machines, high-speed assembly, and state-of-the-art quality control and investigation equipment.



What Aptar Pharma Is Looking For

We are seeking a candidate to join our Regional Technical Center (RTC) department to assist with various projects and our Research and Development activities. In this position, the selected candidate will:

• Learn about drug delivery systems and their manufacturing processes.
  
• Work closely with a team of engineers and technical experts both locally and at our European sites.
  
• Engage in product testing, product and application/manufacturing support, with a strong focus on computerized tomography investigative techniques.

  We are looking for a well-rounded individual with an engineering or science degree.

  • Disciplined, well-organized, and detail oriented.
    
  • Interested in finding solutions to technical problems.
    
  • Good communication and technical writing skills.
    
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
    
  • Familiar with or have completed polymer science courses.
    
  • Interested in the pharmaceutical industry and bringing treatments to patients.

    Compensation and Base Annual Pay
    
    
    
    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role isUSD $20 to $25 per hour.This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
