Job Description:

Experienced CAD Manager needed for well established electrical contractor on Long Island. MTA experience is required. MUST know Microstation. Salary up to $170k including medical/dental/401k match. Oversees a team of CAD designers, ensuring the accurate and efficient creation of electrical schematics and control panel designs using software like AutoCAD Electrical. Key responsibilities include managing staff, setting design standards, providing technical support, training the team, and managing CAD software and libraries. Core responsibilities Team and project management: Lead and mentor a team of CAD designers, delegate tasks, manage resources, and oversee project workflows to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. Technical leadership: Provide expert guidance on electrical design projects, particularly in areas like UL508A control panel design and schematics. CAD standards and quality control: Develop, maintain, and enforce the company's CAD standards and procedures. Review and ensure the quality and accuracy of all CAD outputs. Software and library management: Manage CAD software, hardware, and symbol libraries. Analyze productivity enhancements and implement necessary customizations. Training and support: Train internal users on CAD standards and best practices. Provide ongoing technical support and help resolve issues for the design team. Collaboration: Work with engineers and project managers to understand design requirements and ensure accurate implementation of designs. Essential skills and qualifications Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of experience using AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical, with supervisory or management experience required. MICROSTATION REQUIRED
