Job duties:OverviewTP ICAP's Product Management group is responsible for driving innovation and evolution within the hybrid and pure electronic businesses. The group supports the Senior Managing Directors and Desk Heads in growing their hybrid business via design and delivery of new technologies and services, and driving adoption of these products and services with both new and existing clients. In addition, the group is responsible for the growth and development of pure electronic solutions, as well as sponsoring engagement and/or investment with new Fintech initiatives.
The Product & Business Development Management team are at the leading edge of this process - each Product & Business Development Manager ("Manager") is tasked with overseeing a particular asset class or product/service, championing it both internally and externally. This role will focus in the area of Fixed Income, with strong Off the Run US Treasury market. They are responsible for the entire lifecycle of the product, from developing and validating the business case, through design, delivery and launch, its commercial viability (both front to back office) and long-term growth strategy. They work closely with all the stakeholders - clients, brokers, IT and other teams internally to ensure the right product is delivered on time and within budget. Strategic Direction

  • Establish the goals for the product/service with the key stakeholders.
  • Work with teams internally to establish a credible strategy to deliver those goals.
  • Understand the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats within the UST market, and work on credible commercial strategies to ensure long term growth and profitability.
  • Communicate product vision and roadmap internally, ensuring these are aligned with the overall business and technology strategy.
  • Understand external changes from a regulatory and client perspective within the electronic space.
  • Represent the Company externally, either through forums or industry bodies, and client engagement and meetings.
  • Establish opportunities and business case(s) to expand pure electronic solutions.
    Market Knowledge
    • Understand the overall structure of the financial markets, including micro and macro elements within the electronic space.
    • Understand how regulatory changes that may impact the US Treasury market. Provide associated recommendations and action plan to adhere.
    • Work with other senior peers to conduct regular competitor, customer and market landscape analysis.
    • Knowledge of our external competitive products across all asset classes and ability to maximize electronic revenue opportunities.
      Product Roadmap & Delivery
      • Own the producing, managing and delivering of the product roadmap.
      • Develop business cases to investigate, challenge and design new projects/initiatives.
      • Manage product change priority lists across multiple technologies and define project scope associated with the product area.
      • Drive features vs. schedule vs. resources trade-off decisions.
      • Input into the requirements process for IT projects including interaction with BA, Testers, Vendors & Data management teams.
      • Provide consultancy input and oversight to ongoing projects which are being implemented by the designated project management team.
      • Liaise with client services and operational teams to ensure systems are correctly configured to meet business and commercial demands.
      • UAT - Review interim software builds on behalf of end customers and ensure they are 'fit for purpose'.
      • Provide consultancy for QA to develop appropriate business test cases.
      • Provide internal training for new systems and functionality, where necessary.
        Ideas
        • Provide creative input to product/system design for on-going work.
        • Sponsor / articulate any new ideas back within the Product Management team focusing on establishing hybrid and electronic solutions.
          Relationships
          • Recommend product solutions to business users, Technology management and business management providing support and guidance in the usage of the systems.
          • Liaise with customers of TP ICAP regarding electronic platform implementations and build relationships. With focus on UST market.
          • Develop long term strategic relationships with clients, interacting with appropriate teams (CRM) to manage client expectations and the overall commercial relationship.
            Requirements for the role:
            • Excellent communicator with good written and verbal skills.
            • Good presentational skills with an outgoing and engaging personality.
            • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Product & Business Development Manager or equivalent role.
            • Knowledge of market structure and associated products.
            • Strong knowledge of the Off the Run UST market.
            • Knowledge of API's and workflow (FIX).
            • Knowledge of the specific industry and its products (Pricing/Analytics).
            • Understanding of trading venues and execution protocols (CLOB, RFQ/RFS).
            • Experience working within Agile SDLC dev projects as 'Product Owner'.
            • Experience working with UX teams to drive UI solutions (HTML5/OpenFin).
            • Takes ownership of issues and works on their own initiative.
            • Self-motivates and prioritise effectively. Accountable for specific deliveries and goals, both team and individual.
              Client Engagement & Performance
              • Responsible for some client-facing staff within Americas.
              • Establish and action clear submitted feedback from clients, in conjunction with the CRM team and wider group relationship.
              • Take ownership for all projects and development originating and/or impacting the region.
              • Work with other desks across brands, SMDs and divisions to target revenue opportunities within the electronic and hybrid space (including Data & Analytics and Energy & Commodities).
