Learn more Location(s) US-NJ-Jersey City Job ID 2021-81506 Schedule Type Full Time Function(s) Accounting Region Americas Division Controllers Business Unit Controllers Valuations Group Employment Type Employee MORE ABOUT THIS JOB The successful candidate will join a team responsible for supporting the Private Equity and Debt valuation process across various pockets of the Asset Management Division, The candidate will also have oversight of financial disclosures relating to the level 3 valuation process and have direct interaction with the Partner/Managing Director level. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Oversight/Reporting of valuation f or private equity, debt and real estate positions including ability to develop independent valuation models
• Involvement in third party valuation processes
• Interaction with portfolio managers
• Ensure correct levels of control and independence are in place including design and implementation of strategic automation efforts around level 3 valuation
• Involved in internal/external auditor discussions around level 3 assets
  Experience / Skills
  
  • Degree in Finance / Accounting, CFA preferred
  • 8-10+ years relevant work experience (public and / or private)
  • Comprehensive understanding of Private Equity and Private Debt valuations, including in depth knowledge of market approach, DCF, liquidation approach and complex capital structure equity allocation (OPM).
  • Strong understanding of the fixed income and equities markets and the alternative investment management industry
  • Strong knowledge of valuation related accounting disclosures (ASU 2011-4, ASC 820 etc).
  • Strong management and interpersonal (verbal and written communication) skills, including experience presenting/communicating with senior managers
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
