As a Cyber Data Protection Manager, you will work with our diverse teams of passionate and expert professionals to help solve for some of today's toughest cybersecurity and organizational challenges to enable or clients to enable business growth and continue to manage evolving risk.Work you'll doDesign, deploy and manage technology and process solutions to reduce the potential of data compromiseDevelop technical requirements, evaluate vendor solutions, develop architecture & design, and test data protection and data security solutionsAdvise clients in understanding the future state problems and challenges in data protection and work collaboratively with them to enhance capabilitiesContribute to Deloitte's thought leadership in client organizations and external marketplaceOperate as a technical subject matter specialistUnderstanding and leveraging various product capabilities across the gamut of Data Protection to best serve the needsIdentify and recommend operational improvements to the client, drawing on deep experience and industry specific knowledge of risksAnalyze complex issues to determine client impact and to suggest alternative solutions based on client needs and objectivesManage and grow client relationships (Develop "Trusted Advisor" status) --- Maintain a solid understanding of the client's culture, environment (people, process, technology), goals, and security initiatives and communicate all to the engagement teamResponsible for on time delivery and quality of all in scope deliverablesManage any in scope solution projects (integration/ implementations)Manage appropriate engagement management reporting on a periodic basisManage communications with vendors, 3rd party service providers, Deloitte leadership, and client personnel --- Responsible for compliance with all Deloitte firm engagement management requirementsDemonstrate ability to manage and motivate multiple project teams in multiple geo-locationsQualifications Required:Bachelor's degree is required. Ideally in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, Information TechnologyUnderstanding of the entire ecosystem of data protection including well-rounded understanding of the information security domains and their inter-relations across that ecosystem8+ years of relevant experience required on Data Protection technologiesStrong domain expertise, implementation and/or integration skills in two to four or more (depending on years of experience) of following areas: o Data classification and inventory programs including the use of data discovery tools o Data Loss Prevention o Database activity monitoring o Data access governance o Cloud Access Security Broker o Securing credential repositories and authentication services o Systems administration experience with various operating systems such as Windows Server, Unix, and Linux o DBA experience with database technologies such as Oracle and Microsoft SQLUnderstanding of key industry and regulatory requirements such as PCI, HIPAA, NIST Cyber Security Framework, NERC, or FFIEC requirementsDemonstrated ability to identify and address internal and external client needs, including: o Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills o Working collaboratively with clients to design and implement process and technology solutions o Able to build solid, trust - based relationships with stakeholders o Excellent interpersonal/communication, presentation, and writing skills o Demonstrating strong domain expertise and thought leadership to clients in the cyber security space**Willingness to travel up to 25% required (while travel up to 25% is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice).Preferred:Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or equivalentExperience with financial forecast and profitability tracking, risks, or issuesTechnical skills including scripting - Python/JAVA/ASP/C#, Coding frameworksData protection product certifications The team Deloitte Advisory's Cyber Risk team helps complex organizations more confidently pursue their growth, innovation and performance agendas through proactive management of the associated cyber risks.
