Freelance Senior Digital Asset Specialist Assists the VP, Director of Systems and Asset Management to drive the success and evolution of the Digital Asset Management System (DAM) including identifying and facilitating development priorities, global governance, and best practices related to taxonomy, metadata, tagging, usage tracking, and workflow optimization. The Asset Management (AM) team is responsible for the licensing stock assets and securing permissions as well as the curation of all client and internal assets that are stored in our DAM. This includes maintaining information about each asset---s license, usage rights, source, talent information and lifecycle. To help facilitate this, the AM team reviews all client tactics during the routing process to assess and clear assets for use. AM will notify the brand team members about impending asset expiration and will coordinate either the relicense or archive of those assets. In addition, AM reviews and tags new assets created or purchased by the agency or inherited from the client or other agency partner. This role is 100% remote, however you're welcome to drop by the office if you're local to our Harborside, New Jersey headquarters. Responsibilities include: Conduct the daily curation of the assets within our Digital Asset Management (DAM) system Assist with ingestion of assets including the addition of metadata and managing asset archives Working knowledge of image usage rights and copyright Ensure that image usage rights are monitored and adhered to Intake agency Permissions and Stock Image licensing requests and associated tasks Create Art Estimate form and work with Finance to insure proper approvals have been secured. Order stock photo searches and negotiate stock usage fees when applicable Supply accurate purchase orders with all appropriate information for every purchase Generate asset reports and maintain records for the system Maintain accurate system procedures and policies Assist in the creation and communication of processes and procedures to acquire proper files and appropriate metadata throughout the different user groups Supports on-going DAM user interface optimization, driving enhancements through best practices & user feedback Strong interpersonal skills necessary for working with multiple departments across the agency Provide system training for various levels of users on how to upload, tag, view and download assets from the DAM system Respond to user questions and inquiries Other duties as identified and assigned Supports new brand on-boarding of digital assets and client requirements including DAM and production/submission standards Identifies new and improved methods to increase automation of asset ingest, tagging and lifecycle workflows Responsible for daily operations of ingesting, curating, organizing, and general asset maintenance and management in the DAM system Responsible for digital asset lifecycle maintenance/governance including asset expiration and archiving Attends critical meetings and champions success Keeps abreast of industry best practices to contribute to standards and governance Solicits input from agency users of the DAM to develop pipeline initiatives for the DAM roadmap Contributes to the growth of new/robust content formats by identifying and monitoring technologies in the digital landscape, exploring ways to be more effective in digital assets curation and syndication When needed, assists in facilitation of franchisee change requests to DAM and associated production workflows.
