Be a part of something 'Above the Rest'. The Rooftop at Exchange Place located high atop the Hyatt House Jersey City is hiring a Lounge Manager! We are looking for a talented and versatile leader to oversee our rooftop bar, Terrace restaurant and banquet space. This leader will develop a strong team of service minded professionals.

Overlooking the Hudson River, with stunning views of Manhattan, our high energy rooftop cocktail bar is the 'Premium' place to be: Premium Cocktails, Premium Food, Premium Location, Premium Views and Premium Service.

The Terrace Dining Room and Lounge offers an upscale dining experience for those looking to have more of a dining atmosphere with the same stunning views as The Rooftop.

We offer more than 7,500 square feet of banquet space, all with amazing views of Manhattan, the Hudson and the Statue of Liberty. We offer the perfect spaces for corporate meetings and events, weddings and other social events.

The Role

Responsible for all aspects of the Restaurant, Lounge and RoofTop Cocktail Bar. Working with the culinary leadership to ensuring the quality of presentation of all menu items and execution of all service standards. Coordinate the purchase of all beverage and develop menus in corporation with the Director of Food & Beverage, calculating monthly transfers, maintaining approved beverage costs. Managing schedules to ensure labor costs are in line with budgeted goals while maintaining service standards. Ideally the right candidate is service oriented, self-motivated, and a guest focused leader.

This person will lead a diverse team that oversees two outlets and 7,500 square feet of catering space. We are looking for a Director that understands more than generic food and beverage. They understand how to create a concept as well as how to manage and control cost. They must be able create a vibe around everything they do.

The candidate best suited for this role provides excellent leadership and mentorship to their team. They can quickly identify top talent through recruiting and screening and are capable of training associates to reach and surpass their potential. This leader is someone that promotes celebration in the workplace of a job well done and at all times provides the example of a strong, confident, engaging and FUN leader. Strong experience with managing beverage and labor costs in addition to department expenses is key.
