JOB DESCRIPTION: The ETRADE from Morgan Stanley Media and Acquisition team play a critical role in the development of marketing efforts and touchpoints acquiring new prospects to the company. We are looking for a talented, versatile marketer with deep expertise in media and acquisition strategies - who's resourceful and eager to learn. You will be part of the marketing team within ETRADE (part of Morgan Stanley's Wealth Management Division) and, as such, have a passion for the brand, advertising, media, the customer, and competitive insights that go into it, and the marketing strategy/channels that drive it. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, Head of Advertising, & Digital Marketing, you are responsible for developing the strategy and implementation of our media plans and define the future of media for ETRADE and our vision for delivering results. The candidate will lead a broad range of key marketing initiatives, including: working across the business and teams to translate short- and long-term business goals into successful media plans, annual and ongoing campaign communications planning across all media channels, identification and execution of strategic media partnerships and sponsorships leveraging our paid media spend to get more value for the brand, successfully manage the agency team for maximum productivity, and assist in overseeing our budget management in support account acquisition goals. This individual is a strategic thinker who thrives in a collaborative, customer-focused, and results-oriented environment. They embrace challenges, change, and can work well with multiple stakeholders and various team members under tight deadlines. The candidate will have thorough knowledge of media agencies including all forms of media planning and buying, as well as a complete understanding of the role of media in the overall consumer communications process. Candidate must be well versed in complex media partnerships and relationships, highly analytical, and a great people leader. Additionally, responsible for driving a retail marketing strategy to acquire new customers to ETRADE, operating at the intersection of ETRADE's digital channel and Morgan Stanley's Advisor-led channel; expanding client acquisition through innovative campaigns that showcase ETRADE's unique offerings for Morgan Stanley's top clients. This individual will develop and foster opportunities to elevate the positioning of ETRADE's products and services with high net worth prospects and clients. This leader will work across internal constituencies serving to bridge the relationships with Morgan Stanley's Advisors and their clients, with ETRADE. This role requires a driven marketing professional with a customer-centric mindset, strong relationship management, organizational and creative sensibility skills.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:The ideal candidate will have financial services knowledge (nice to have but not necessary) and have experience in media and acquisition either working at an ad agency or on the client side. He or she will be able to jump in and take on a range of assignments, including:

  • Manage internal team and media agency of record
  • Oversee and manage all media efforts (cross channel) as well as strategy, execution, and reporting including forecasting and budget management
  • Review and approve media briefs and works closely with agency partners on key insights and messaging to deliver plans to meet strategic KPIs
  • Lead audience and segmentation strategies
  • Develop paid media plans including Brand, Product, and Acquisitions efforts across TV, online video, digital banners, social, audio, out-of-home, performance media expertise (SEM, Affiliate, Programmatic) Lead our media partnership and sponsorship practice to push for strategic, business building ideas and best in class execution
  • Monitor the latest competitive and media innovation trends for consideration and apply forward thinking solutions that can transform and push our business forward
  • As part of our acquisition efforts, lead incentive strategies in including offers, Referral and Winback programs
  • Partner and work with the digital and analytics media team leads and our creative team leads for thorough integration of channel planning and creative strategy insights
  • Media attribution, incrementality and ROI measurement (& experience w/ Media modeling and measurement e.g., MMM, MTA) experience
  • Closely partner with Head of Advertising to sync media and advertising efforts, to develop advertising input briefs for multi-channel campaigns.
  • Ability to work independently, make strategic decisions, and effectively communicate up to E*TRADE and Wealth Management marketing leadership
  • Closely partner with Finance and COO Office on budgeting, forecasting, and vendor contract management with proven ability to be analytical, nimble, self-starter, and a team player
  • Leverage consumer insights and transform them into innovative connection plans to drive consumer awareness, interest, and action
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver who has the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional team members to get to the best output
  • Strong people manager, willing to help develop team and focus on career growth (helping identify growth opportunities for the team)QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED OR PREFERRED: 10 years of experience in media, preferably for a large brand or at an agency or a combination of both; experience working with creative teams/agencies preferred Deep understanding of media best practices and marketing principles Experience working in a regulated industry (i.e., health/pharma/financial services), nice to have Highly organized with strong interpersonal skills Strong track record of working collaboratively across matrix teams and organizations Proven self-starter who can identify new opportunities, develop strategies to drive growth, and push projects forward; a desire to push innovation and drive business Management experience (up, down, and sideways) Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Careful attention to detail Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills, especially in creating effective and compelling visuals to communicate results to key stakeholders across the organization Leads by example and works to mentor and build their team Highly motivated, ambitious team player who is hard-working and resourceful/Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $235,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
