About: Captivate Talent is partnered with TechUnited and is looking for a Marketing Director who can own their go-to-market strategy, overall marketing strategy, and execution. This individual will own marketing and manage a small team of experts to deliver reach, leads, and engagement for TechUnited as an organization, TechUnited sponsors and members, TechUnited experiences, and TechUnited organic content. (This role is hybrid and looking for someone that can be in the Jersey City area once a week)

They are looking for someone who understands how a hero piece of content can create derivative content and how all of that can be leveraged for wide reach and funnel creation. As an organization that hosts many incredible speakers, their Marketing Director should be obsessed with how these experiences "in the room" can be leveraged out in the world.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Continuously drive innovation and experiment with new marketing channels, tech tools, and creatives to grow TechUnited audience, revenue, and brand awareness
  • Effectively source and manage contractors to support marketing and content processes
  • Execute a 7 day turnaround for all content from recording to publishing including: full-length video with full graphics, podcast episode, blog, 2-3 micro content videos for social media, & 2-3 social media posts with graphics
  • Direct all sponsored content and experiential content recordings towards the most compelling and editorial content possible to maintain brand integrity & content engagement
  • Use tech tools & marketing stack to drive event registrations to ensure target attendee numbers are achieved as well as grow TechUnited event registration conversion rates
  • Drive email engagement to keep a 30% average open rate & 7% click-through rate
  • Grow email lists and social media subscribers by 10% via growth marketing and lead magnet campaigns
  • Craft & own campaigns to grow the top of the sales funnel
  • Act as main point of contact for any marketing, content, or brand-related sponsorship package elements
    • Own the social media marketing and email marketing calendars and all of the copy, graphics, and content curated for each channel, campaign, and audience.
    • Manage contractors supporting social media posting, website edits & creation, and deck/graphic design
    • Own TechUnited's design, creating a strong graphic design package with a contractor that translates consistently across web, graphics, print, and sales materials
    • Craft unique promotion strategies to encourage attendance for all experiences based on the Experience calendar
    • Work with PR expert on press releases, media relationships, interviews
      • Develop editorialized narratives for all TechUnited content & manage the content creation process from start to finish
      • Manage & source all derivative content experts including video editors, podcast editors, and blog writers to publish unique content weekly from content recordings and experiences
      • Manage the creation of sales materials, including but not limited to sales decks, one-pagers, lead magnets, and sales email copy
      • Own content and communication channel metrics and growth
      • Work with existing and new members and sponsors to adequately understand and convert their experience into content pieces that will drive the business forward
        • Work with the growth marketing team to create ads (Facebook & Youtube) for video content, marketing funnels & experiences
        • Work with growth marketing team to develop organic editorial calendar & assist in development of growth marketing strategy for lead generation
        • Experiment and meticulously measure results from growth tactics that will impact our overall GTM strategy; e.g. SEO, email campaigns, paid ads, events, viral media, etc.
        • Assist with website management (landing pages for experiences and overall brand site)
