This is an excellent opportunity to join our Road Logistics team. Your Role The Key Account Business Development Director, Road Logistics provides market specific expertise and sales leadership to reach and exceed product volume targets. This position is responsible for the creation and deployment of the growth strategy for our domestic product in the Automotive and Industrial verticals. The Key Account Business Development Director, Road Logistics is the lead business development person in the Automotive and Industrial verticals responsible for management of all Road Logistics target account opportunities in conjunction with the corresponding Kuehne+Nagel World-wide stakeholders. The position is to be seen as a "multiplier", working with all stakeholders involved towards customer opportunity development, generating increased awareness and focus around the Road Logistics product. Your Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact for
    domestic solutions and service sales across the Automotive and Industrial
    verticals within the NAM territory and customer base.
  • Obtain
    new customers through sales "hunting" activity, correctly assessing
    the prospective account as Profitable, Significant or Strategic in order to
    secure winning bids.
  • Act
    as a "multiplier" in support of the domestic product across sales channels by
    actively promoting and assisting in closing opportunities throughout the
    verticals.
  • Take
    active role in developing Road product and Go To Market strategy to service the
    demands of customers in the respective verticals.
  • Directly
    responsible for delivering the vertical-wide Road target through direct selling
    and indirect selling as a multiplier.
  • Conduct
    Quarterly Business Reviews with the customer and maintain close/ongoing
    communication with customer andKuehne+Nagel Operations to assure expectations are
    satisfied.
  • Report
    to management in agreed intervals on market development, working and buying platform.
  • Adhere
    to all policies listed in the Kuehne+NagelUS Sales Guidelines.
  • Additional
    duties as assigned. Your Skills and Experiences
    • Bachelor's Degree or greater.
    • 10 years field sales in domestic logistics or 10 years of
      operational experience.
    • Sales
      Management experience preferred.
    • Experience
