SMCC is responsible for developing training materials for our Field Medical (FM) teams globally and for developing the content resources Field Medical uses during scientific exchange with external scientific leaders. The Outcomes Research contractor reports into the SMCC Leader and is responsible for supporting content, training, and publications for Outcomes Research studies and programs across the Organon product portfolio.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the outcomes research team to help support outcomes research-related publication communications and publications (e.g., training materials and content resources, publications process)
  • Understands different types of outcomes research studies, pharmacoeconomic models, and key strategic scientific statements associated with each (e.g., budget impact model, cost effectiveness models etc.) for application by Field Medical
  • Development of an SMCC plan aligned to the Outcomes Research Plan
  • Develop content resources to help Field Medical effectively communicate with relevant audiences (scientific, patients, practitioners, payers, and other stakeholders) results of outcomes research studies and health economic models
  • Partner with Medical Affairs teams in the countries to understand local implications and to create local adaptations of the models and analyses
  • Collaboration with SMCC Directors for the TA to align Outcomes Research-related materials cross-functionally and enable worldwide access to the materials
  • Enables medical-review for the Outcomes Research-related materials
  • Ensures references are relevant, scientifically accurate, and consistent with cited appropriate scientific literature, internal scientific information, and Company values and standards
  • Responsible for document lifecycle management, system of record upload (Veeva Vault Medcomms and PromoMats), and review and approval workflows for both medical and promotional processes
  • Vendor management in partnership with Outcomes Research and Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management teamEducation Minimum Requirements:
    • Bachelors Degree in Economics/Health Economics/Biostatistics or Bachelors Degree in scientific areas (such as Pharmacy) with a focus on healthcare delivery, market access, value assessment or economic modeling
    • Advanced degree (MD, PhD, or PharmD) preferredRequired Experience and Skills:
      • 3-5 years supporting real-world data, health economic modeling, or market access
      • Demonstrated scientific writing/verbal communication skills
      • Proven ability for networking, prioritization, and collaboration skills
      • Organization, prioritization, and project-management skills
      • Analytical, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills (solution-driven)
      • Leadership and influence skillsPreferred Experience and Skills:
        • Leading the development of multiple Global or Regional Medical/Scientific Affairs Plans
        • Development or delivery of scientific content and training for the purpose of scientific exchange w/external customers
        • Negotiation skills for interaction with cross-functional teams
        • Prior experience working across geographies with different regulation/compliance requirements
        • Extensive knowledge across multiple related therapeutic areas
        • Proven leadership and influence/negotiation skills for interaction with cross-functional teams
        • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate strategy into action plans
        • Strong track record of mentoring or managing people
