New York Life is a relationship-based company and appreciates how both virtual and in-person interactions support our culture.This position involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday & Friday / on site: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking leader to lead a client services and operations team in our Institutional Annuities (IA) Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) business in a hybrid role at our Jersey City location. The PRT team services group annuity contracts, which fund defined benefit pension plan obligations and works with annuitants and plan sponsors. -Reporting to IA's COO, and a member of IA's Service and Operations Leadership Team, the PRT Service and Operations Manager drives service excellence and continuous improvement in support of IA's growing PRT business. Primary Responsibilities: -Lead a team responsible for call center, new business, retirement benefit calculations, in-force transactions, tax reporting, and death claimsHandle the hiring, management, and development of a team of client service and operations professionals Set team priorities to optimize service delivery and ensure client inquiries and requests are handled in accordance with departmental standardsPromote a client focused orientation and an environment of collaboration and continuous improvementImplement process enhancements and remove barriers to providing quality and timely service to our clientsHelp identify and coordinate technology enhancements to PRT administration systems and provide oversight for user acceptance testingIdentify issues impacting service delivery and, to ensure they don't persist, develop action plans to remediate themLead training and procedure reviews and updatesWork with closely related areas, e.g., PRT New Business, Technology and Risk to coordinate work activities and improve efficiencyDesired Skills & Experience: -Bachelor's Degree, business discipline preferredStrong leadership abilities: able to communicate objectives, delegate and motivate, and promote teamwork and efficient workflow -Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a client services and/or operations areaUnderstanding of pension risk transfer operations and/or income annuity operations preferredExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong Microsoft Excel and Word skillsThis position involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday & Friday / on site: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.SF:LI-KH1#LI-HYBRIDRecognized as one of Fortune's World's Most Admired Companies, New York Life is committed to improving local communities through a culture of employee giving and volunteerism, supported by the -Foundation. -We're proud that due to our mutuality, we operate in the best interests of our policy owners.
