Job Description:
Luxury residential property is seeking an experienced and
dynamic--Assistant General Manager--to join our team in Jersey
City, New Jersey! This position assists the General Manager with
maximizing the operating performance of the property.Duties &
Responsibilities--of the--Assistant--General ManagerAssists with
coordination of the team members to achieve established budgeted
financial and operational goalsMonitors and enforces compliance
with all pertinent company policies, procedures, and standards
related to business and operationsMaintains day-to-day operations
of the property while emphasizing a professional and friendly
atmosphere for all residents and clientsPhysically inspects
community when on grounds, resolves issues and reports any service
needs to maintenance staffActs as liaison between--Community
Director, building staff and residents.--Proactively gathers
resident feedbackWorks collaboratively to meet and exceed goals
relative to resident satisfaction, resident retention, occupancy
levels, and property objectivesAssists with administering lease
agreements for prospective residentsMaintains optimal renewal rates
administering lease agreements for current residentsDemonstrates
knowledge of market conditions and industry trends--Contributes
ideas for marketing the community and enhancing the living
environment of residentsEnsures compliance with all federal, state,
and local laws as they pertain to fair housing, credit reporting,
leasing, and residential requirementsOversees the maintenance of
accurate resident records including rents, deposits and application
fees received by residents--Accountable for resident consultation
with aim to limit account delinquencies resulting in provocation of
eviction notices by ownershipIssues appropriate notices when
necessary (i.e., late payment, eviction notices, returned checks,
memos) and miscellaneous resident communication as neededPerforms
additional duties and tasks as assigned by the General
ManagerRequirements of the Position--of the--Assistant--General
ManagerBachelor's degree from four-year College or University; or
equivalent combination of education and experience preferred2-3
years of leasing, sales, or property management experience,
preferredMust be organized, flexible and able to cope with change
constructivelyExcellent verbal and written communication
skillsExperience with OneSite Products preferredMust have valid
driver's license and automobile insuranceApplicant must be able to
meet physical requirements to perform standing and walking
activities related to inspecting and presenting
property--Successful candidates should possess excellent time
management and problem-solving skillsRequirements of the
Position--of the--Assistant--General ManagerBachelor's degree from
four-year College or University; or equivalent combination of
education and experience preferred3-5 years of business,
accounting, hospitality, or property management--experienceWorking
knowledge of building operations and maintenance.Excellent
communication, interpersonal, and organizational skillsProficient
in Microsoft OfficeExperience leading a high-performing
