We're seeking a future team member for the role of Capital Introductions to join our Pershing Institutional Solutions team. This is based out of our Jersey City, NJ office as a HYBRID role.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Facilitating and maintaining interactions between US based Alternative Asset Managers/Hedge Funds & Institutional Investors (Pensions, Fund of Funds, Consultants, Endowments, Foundations, RIA's & Family Offices) while originating and maintaining new and existing relationships with Institutional Investors
  • Aiding with the origination of new Hedge Fund launches & established blue-chip prospects alongside the Prime Services business development team by performing thorough industry research and an understanding the market environment, including short- and long-term trends, competitor offerings, regulatory developments etc.
  • Creating & maintaining Hedge Fund/Investor market content to be used in meetings with prospective and existing clients and cap intro events
  • Producing Hedge Fund client account reviews to Prime Brokerage management team
  • Identifies prospects
  • Work closely with related teams (RMs, AMs, CSD) and other firm-wide resources (marketing, legal, compliance, etc.) to ensure all risk management/compliance activities relevant to Capital Introductions activities are conducted and captured
  • Tracks and reports on Capital Introductions results for assigned area (geographic, business/industry category, product category, etc.) to build reports for use by senior leaders that identifies trends, opportunities, potential areas of concern, etc.
  • Provides guidance to less experienced Capital Introduction roles as needed or may provide direct supervision to a small team

    To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
    • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required, while an advanced/graduate degree is desired
    • 10-12 years of total work experience in Financial Services experience with Capital Introductions or asset raising preferred as is prior experience in a related customer-facing role, Global Capital Markets or Business Development
    • FINRA Series 7 & 63 is required
    • A good understanding of the relevant marketplace, competitive landscape and industry drivers in the relevant region is preferred. As global firm, bi-lingual capabilities are helpful as is an understanding of local/cultural nuances

        BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $136,000 and $220,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

        This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
