Job Summary: The Clinical Informatics Support Representative provides clinical end user education and at elbow support related to the use of the RWJBH electronic medical records and technology. Will perform clerical functions required on the nursing unit by competently utilizing the computer system for the following purposes: written order entry, report retrieval, census updates related to admissions, transfers and discharges as well as documenting and updating patient allergies, conditions transport and diet. Essential Functions: * Demonstrates the ability to accept and schedule appointments for patients, photocopy medical record per policy and maintain a log of the unit s activity. * Provide user support. Log all pertinent end user identification, department, contact information, detailed nature of problem or issue * Analyze/resolve help requests Job Requirements: * HS Diploma preferred * Clerical experience as a unit clerk, clinical care technician, etc. preferred, but not essential * Experience supporting end users in the use of an electronic medical record preferred.
