Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/18/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring cardiac surgery experience and night shifts in New Jersey. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) of a hospital setting - Schedule is 7p - 7a for 12-hour night shifts, three days per week - Direct care for post-cardiac surgery and critically ill cardiovascular patients - Must float to a nearby sister hospital as needed - Uses Epic for charting and EMR documentation - Responsible for nursing process functions including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for cardiovascular ICU patients - Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team through shared governance to promote evidence-based practice - Expected to uphold PRIDE core values: Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity, and Excellence - Travelers may only work up to one calendar year on assignment before a mandatory 30–60 day break - Compliance testing and documentation must be completed prior to start, with drug screen and background check results strictly enforced - Professional scrubs are required while on duty /n /n Requirements/n - Active NJ or compact RN license required - Minimum of 1 year recent critical care RN experience in a hospital setting - Demonstrated experience in cardiac surgery care required - Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with ASN or BSN preferred - BLS and ACLS certifications required - CCRN certification strongly preferred - Strong communication and computer skills required - No local candidates accepted; must reside at least 50 miles from the facility /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-626557.
