Physician Advisor Jersey Shore University Medical Center
Neptune, New Jersey Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a
collaborative Physician Advisor to join our growing health network.
This is an excellent opportunity to become a key member of the
healthcare organization’s leadership team. The successful candidate
will lead efforts to meet the organization’s goals and objectives
for assuring the effective and efficient utilization of health care
services. The successful candidate will be highly collaborative and
possess strong organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills.

faculty appointment to the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.

benefits package. - Engage in the teaching, consulting and advising
of the care management and utilization review departments and
hospital leadership. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to
implement methods and develop care management protocols that
optimize the use of hospital services for all patients while
ensuring quality care is provided. - Develop expertise on physician
practice patterns, over and under-utilization of resources, medical
necessity, levels of care, care progression, denial management,
compliance with governmental and private payer regulations,
appropriate physician coding and documentation requirements.
Qualifications - MD/DO degree from a recognized Medical or
Osteopathic School - Obtain or have the ability to obtain a New
Jersey Medical License - 1-2 years of experience as a Physician
Advisor or similar role - Ability to build rapport with medical
staff and hospital leadership to obtain the buy-in and -
collaboration necessary to achieve desired outcomes. - Excellent
customer service and interpersonal skills. - Demonstrates ability
to drive results and produce outcomes. - Member of the American
College of Physician Advisors (ACPA) preferred. - Board
Certification by the American Board of Quality Assurance and
Utilization Review Physicians, Inc. (ABQAURP) preferred. -
Physician Advisor Sub-specialty Certification by the American Board
of Quality Assurance - and Utilization Review Physicians, Inc.
(ABQAURP) preferred. COMPENSATION: Starting Base Salary: $216,675

Specialization: Area of specialization and sub-specialization.
Labor Market Data: Compensation is benchmarked against market data

in the areas of specialization and sub-specialization. Leadership:
Relevant experience as a department chair or chief, practice group
leader, or other leadership roles. Education and Certifications:
Degrees attained, residencies, fellowships, board certifications,
research, and publications. Productivity: Levels of productivity,
quality and patient satisfaction. Skills: Demonstrated proficiency
in relevant skills and competencies. Geographic Location: Cost of
living and market rates for the specific location. Internal Equity:
Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation
ranges for similar roles within the specialty and/or sub-specialty.
Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant
funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that
can be offered. In addition to our compensation for full-time and
part-time (20 hours/week) positions, HMH offers a comprehensive

reimbursement, and retirement benefits. The final compensation and
