Job Description American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Morristown, New Jersey. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/15/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery travel assignment requiring a NJ or compact license and high-risk pregnancy experience. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Position is based in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit - Works primarily with high-risk pregnancies and deliveries - Shift schedule is 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week - Minimum contract length is 13 weeks - Travelers may float to a nearby sister hospital as needed - EMR system used is Epic and prior Epic experience is preferred - Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, direct clinical care, detailed documentation, and perioperative patient education - Must demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures, high-risk L&D conditions, and safe patient handling techniques - Travelers may be required to assist in other units within the department or float to the sister facility - Adherence to National Patient Safety Goals and hospital policies is expected - First time travelers are not specified, prior experience as a traveler is required - Scrub or dress code information not specified, follow hospital guidelines - Role may require pre-employment health screenings and background checks per hospital protocols - Assignments are limited to a maximum of one calendar year; a 30-60 day break is required before returning for a new assignment /n /n Requirements/n - Active NJ or compact RN license required - Current certifications in BLS and ACLS required - Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred - At least 2 years of travel RN experience in a large hospital setting with high-risk Labor & Delivery cases - Must live at least 50 miles from the facility—local candidates not accepted /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-640188.
