None specified Must-Have: - Ensure appropriate specimen
accessioning and obtain clinical history. - Assist with gross
description, dissect surgical specimens, and prepare tissue for
processing. - Assist pathologists in frozen section preparation and
in the procurement of FNA specimens. - Obtain biological specimens
for analysis and perform special procedures. - Photograph pertinent
gross specimens and microscopic slides. Description: This position
requires performing a variety of tasks related to pathology.
Responsibilities include ensuring accurate specimen accessioning.
The candidate must obtain clinical history relevant to the
specimens. Duties involve assisting with gross descriptions and
dissection of surgical specimens. Preparation of tissue for
processing is a key responsibility. The individual will perform
tasks related to frozen section preparation. Procurement of fine
needle aspiration specimens is necessary. Biological specimens must
be obtained for analysis and special procedures. Photography of
significant gross specimens and microscopic slides is required.
