Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - PACU/Critical Care/n/n Location/n Morristown, NJ /n/nAssignment Duration/n This is a 13-week contract position. /n/nSchedule/n AM Shift: 10 AM - 11 PM, Friday; No weekends or call required. /n/nJob Description/n The Registered Nurse in the PACU/Critical Care unit is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through skilled assessments, clinical competency, and professionalism. This role involves working with patients of various ages, from pediatric to geriatric, and requires detailed documentation of care provided. /n/nResponsibilities/n /n - Perform systematic assessments to evaluate patients’ conditions and deliver care appropriately across all growth stages. /n - Demonstrate strong clinical skills while providing direct patient care and support within a team environment. /n - Maintain complete and accurate documentation in patient charts, in line with established guidelines. /n - Exhibit professionalism by identifying areas for clinical improvement and adhering to policies and procedures. /n - Promote a patient-centered environment through positive communication with patients, families, and colleagues. /n - Follow safety protocols, including the National Patient Safety Goals and Universal Protocol. /n - Show competency in emergency procedures and equipment usage, particularly in surgical settings. /n - Individualize patient care according to specific procedures and anesthesia types. /n - Conduct pre-operative and post-operative assessments and educates patients and families on care plans. /n - Support timely completion of patient testing and evaluate pre-admission testing orders for appropriateness. /n /n/nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure/n /n - 1 year of PACU or Critical Care experience. /n - Active RN License. /n - BLS certification. /n - ACLS certification. /n - PALS certification. /n - CCRN or CPAN certification preferred. /n - Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred. /n /n/nWhy ARMStaffing?/n At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
