Job Description Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for accurately processing Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergency Department Registrations in accordance with regulatory and financial requirements. Inputs patient registration data into the computer system, while verifying patient demographics and insurance. Appropriately interviews patients, obtaining the necessary information. Knowledge of medical terminology necessary. Strong knowledge of the insurance verification and registration process required. Maintains ability to quickly assess and respond appropriately to emergency situations. Verifies outpatient scripts appropriately. Detailed and quality oriented with strong problem solving and the judgment to interpret data and take appropriate action in circumstances and situations which vary. Complies with all job functions within the required time frames. Excellent customer services skill required. Other responsibilities assigned by supervisor as deemed necessary. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years of registration experience Excellent customer services skill required.
