Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, evenings - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring both scrub and circulate capabilities, with night shift availability and an active NJ RN license. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Hospital-based Operating Room (OR) setting - Night shift schedule: 6p–7a, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week) - Surgical patient population spanning pediatric to geriatric age groups - Must be able to both scrub and circulate - Epic EMR used for charting - Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital - 13-week contract - Performs comprehensive pre- and post-operative patient assessments - Provides individualized perioperative patient care based on procedure type and anesthesia across the continuum of care - Conducts patient and family education regarding surgical procedures and instructions, including Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) support - Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and dual patient identification - Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be considered /n /n Requirements/n - Active NJ RN license (or compact license) required - Current BLS and ACLS certifications required - Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required - Ability to scrub and circulate required - Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) preferred - CNOR certification preferred - Epic EMR experience preferred - Two professional references required for consideration /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-675650.
