to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several
factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills

Required: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing Bachelor’s
degree in nursing Preferred: Excellent verbal communication,
interpersonal, and demonstrated writing skills Certifications and
Licenses Required: Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License
with NJ Endorsement BLS certification through American Heart
Association ACLS certification required within 6 months from date
of hire Complete 8 hours of continuing education in the area of
cerebrovascular disease annually Scheduling Requirements: Night
Shift – 7:00pm – 7:00am Every other weekend required. Schedule
during the week will vary depending on department needs Full Time
Essential Functions: The role of the Professional Registered Nurse
is to provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the
medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State
Nurse Practice Act. It is the responsibility of the Professional
Nurse to implement the Hospital's Mission and goals through
established policies, procedures and performance improvement
activities. Implementation of these goals occurs through
organization and administration of individualized age specific
professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of
the hospital. The understanding of the principles of growth and
development will be incorporated to assess each patient's age
specific needs and determine age specific treatment modalities.
