Overview:
Imperial Dade is seeking an Inventory Control Manager to manage its inventory control activities including supporting a team of Inventory Control Associates. This role oversees inventory control and accuracy for the facility including, but not limited to, maintaining the physical inventory, and improving controls, providing ongoing training, recognizing signs of operational problems, and consistently executing the cycle count program to ensure inventory and location accuracy (e.g., outs, aisle audits, empty slot reports, special counts for high value items, non-stocks). This role also validates the accuracy of product transferred between facilities, research, and resolves discrepancies, monitors adjustments in the warehouse management system, and conducts analysis to forecast potential inventory issues.Imperial Dade is the leading distributor of foodservice packaging, facilities maintenance supplies and equipment in the U.S. As a provider of customized supply chain solutions, the company serves customers in many business-to-business market segments including supermarkets, healthcare facilities, universities, and restaurants. Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of an Inventory Control Manager include:Sets cycle counts of inventory, researches and clears any discrepanciesPlans layout of warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items storedTraces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepanciesSupervises employees through staff development, assigning duties and examining work to ensure compliance of the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws; manages labor hours and payroll in electronic timekeeping systemAdvises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problemsRecommends process improvements within the warehouse or distribution center which will improve accuracy of inventory and/or productivityReviews daily reports and ensure completion of key tasks designed to keep an accurate inventory and ensuring team understands and works toward performance goalsReviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock, provides information to customerPrepares work schedules for special projects and periodic inventories, and reacts quickly and effectively regarding unexpected labor needsWork well cross-functionally with all departments in warehouse and office (Customer Service, Purchasing, Finance) and collaborating with HQ as needed.

Qualifications:
The qualifications of an Inventory Control Manager include:3+ years of direct inventory control experience, ideally in distribution operationsMinimum 1 year of supervisory experience preferredExperience with warehouse equipmentExperience with warehouse management systemsPC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and ExcelHigh school diploma or GED (general education diploma) equivalencyExperience implementing process improvements in an operational environment preferredExperience in a changing/growing organizationStrong communication and organizational skillsSolid analytical skills including systematic root cause analysisAt Imperial Dade, we offer an exciting work environment and invite motivated and talented individuals with a passion for excellence to join our team.
