Job Description:
Description Job Responsibilities:
Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job
expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results;
coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating,
coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
including SQF and GMP policies. Maintains staff by orienting, and
training employees; developing personal growth opportunities for
employees. Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process;
monitoring personnel and resources; implementing cost reductions;
developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating
corrections to malfunctions within the process; initiating and
fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel;
accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring
progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results
of the processing flow on shift production summaries. Maintains
quality service by establishing and enforcing organization
standards. This includes but not limited to the organization of Raw
Ingredient Tracking, UHT Processing Sheets, Batching Records,
Operator/ Filler sheets, CIP and SIP documentation, finished
product documentation, inventory sheets, and license plate
documentation. Ensures the operation of equipment by calling for
repairs. Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and
directing personnel on the use of all machines, equipment, and
resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and
procedures. Delivers corrective action to all employees when needed
in a timely manner. Maintains professional and technical knowledge
by attending educational workshops; establishing personal networks;
benchmarking state-of-the-art practices. Contributes to team effort
by accomplishing related results as needed. Communicates with all
departments to ensure successful operations.
Job Qualifications:
Supervising experience Some experience managing processes and
production planning wanted.
Education and Experience:
Associates Degree or a minimum of 5 years' experience in plant
operations. 5 or more years' experience in a high volume fluid
dairy manufacturing plant with a minimum 3 years in extended shelf
life format.
Physical Requirements:
Standing: Long periods (a minimum of 6 hours) Sitting: Occasionally
for short periods Walking: Frequently Bending: Occasionally
Twisting of Spine: Occasionally Lifting: Light (less than 30lbs)
infrequently distance- 100 ft. Pushing/ Pulling: under 75lbs
without assistance infrequently
Special Requirements:
Ability to work weekends and holiday's
SQF Requirements/Responsibilities: Support SQF by:
Support SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through
completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary
manner. Ensure all biosecurity measures are administered. Support
SQF by ensuring refer trailers temperature checks are tracked and
necessary corrective action taken to maintain temperature
compliance. Make the Food Safety and Policy Manuals are documented,
maintained, and made available to relevant staff. Report food
safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
