Job Description
Verisk's largest business HRBP team is seeking a Human Resources Project Lead to partner with HR colleagues and business managers in assist in fulfilling their objectives and making smart, data-driven decisions. This strategic team has a seat at the table with a global business and the role has an excellent career track for those seeking advancement.
This position is based in our Jersey City, NJ office (hybrid work model), conveniently located across the street from the Newport path station. Just one stop from Christopher Street, we're an easy 10-minute commute from lower Manhattan (and about 20 minutes from Brooklyn). Other locations may be possible upon request.
We are looking to have our new HR Project Lead:

  • Work as part of a fast paced HRBP team. A balance of flexibility and ability to stay focused on priorities is key.
  • Provide data input, collection, aggregation and reports in support of decisions and initiatives.
  • Provide project support to team members, working with HR Center of Excellence teams on key initiatives.
  • Manage data changes into the HRIS and audit regularly to ensure accuracy. Monitor, track and analyze metrics in partnership with the HR group to inform business and talent decisions.
  • Provide operational support for critical HR systems that enable workforce planning and management.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of HR processes, programs and policies to help answer employee inquiries.
  • Monitor, track and support education and training programs, policies and their outcomes.
  • Be an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment
    Qualifications
    We are looking for our candidate to have the following skills, experience, and abilities:
    • Strong demonstration of analytical skills and ability to prepare materials, including mastery of Excel in support of analyzing data, required.
    • Ability to project plan/ operationalize needs is critical to the role.
    • Experience as HR Generalist or similar role strongly preferred.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with an ability to work in a fast paced environment.
    • Bachelor's degree and relevant industry experience preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal/collaboration skills. Ability to establish credibility/rapport with stakeholders will accelerate your career.
    • Ability to manage competing demands, prioritize workloads, and manage projects against deadlines.
    • Creative and resourceful thinker, with experience understanding business goals and concepts.
    • Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to adjust communication style based on the audience.
