This also includes but not limited to: Systems Health/Performance Monitoring and Automation, Crisis Management, Break Fix, Maintenance and Implementation support. Will champion changes to assigned applications or processes to improve the Production environment and/or overall Production Management (Support) function. Lead standing meetings to facilitate day-to-day operations and/or drive resolution as needed. Lead various group and/or organizational initiatives as needed. Contribute to the Production Management strategy and execution which includes project planning, resource scheduling, communication and strategic technology solutions as it relates to maintaining the overall integrity and stability of the BBH Production Environment(s). This position will work with business owners, technical architects, vendors, development teams, and other Systems managers to ensure business needs and systems goals are achieved through proactive and timely responses to support needs and events. This role requires supporting a diverse portfolio of products of varying technologies, some of which are internally developed and some of which are vendor products.Some of your additional responsibilities include:Technical

  • Develop, maintain, and increase the knowledge and skills essential to performing the job to solve Problems and resolve Incidents independently.
  • Solve job-related problems and perform the technical responsibilities of the job with a high level of competence.
  • Understand the applications/infrastructure/ecosystems for the products supported
  • Engage in the development process to ensure that supportability, monitorability, maintainability and resiliency are all built in.Systems Health / Performance Monitoring, Event Management
    • Participate in discussions with various system areas on defining and implementing automated system health and performance: metrics, SLA's, alerts/error notifications, hardware and application response times for core application components and processes.
    • Follow up and perform due diligence for all system health, performance review and daily tasks allocated per assigned applications.Change Oversight
      • Proven experience in following and operating within the framework of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
      • Review Changes to ensure adequate information, testing, planning and overall readiness to implement in Production. May participate in approval process for the same.
      • Facilitate preparation to support new functionality being deployed including training, knowledge base review and testing if required.Crisis Management
        • Lead or coordinate efforts around High Severity Incidents
        • Lead or coordinate troubleshooting efforts to resolve application outage in a timely manner
        • Communicate status of research to interested parties and ensure documentation is up to date
        • Assist with the facilitation of Post Mortem discussions and write ups surrounding Critical and High Incidents. May present Post Mortem materials to upper management.Incident and Error Management
          • Responsible for the Incident management process. Responsible for timely triage, handling, resolution and restoring services.
          • Perform review of workarounds for process, integrity, ownership, impact and risk to the Application and Business Process defined.
          • Work with Application and Business Managers and/or Product Owners in creating Post Mortem discussions and documentation for Incidents
          • Ensure accurate and current Incident records to facilitate proper metrics for Reporting to Stakeholders/Sr. Leadership.Problem Management
            • Responsible for escalating, communicating, and participating in activities associated with the Problem Management Life Cycle. Seen as an expert to assist with the progressive life cycle of a problem until resolved.
            • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of information associated with problems (and/or System Defects) are appropriately logged in the central repository to facilitate effective metrics for Reporting to Stakeholders/Sr. Leadership.
            • Lead and/or participate in the facilitation of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts for Incidents (identification and validation of RCA findings), document and identify work-around.Qualifications:
              • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or Business degree with related work experience. Advanced MS degree preferred
              • 7+ years of Financial Services industry experience (Preferably Systems Support and/or Development)
              • Proven ability to drive resolution with resources in multiple locations
              • Strong understanding of technical concepts and experience with multiple technologies and platforms including: RHEL Unix, Windows, Webservers (TOMCAT, Websphere), mainframe technologies (MVS, MQ, JCL, DB2) a plus
              • Experience with scripting and automation tools : Splunk, SQL Developer, PL/SQL, MS SQL Studio, Filezilla, Putty
              • Ability to understand and interpret technical logs and code
              • Strong verbal and written communication ability
              • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
              • Vendor management experience
              • Desire to learn and to solve technical problems
              • Experience driving process improvement
              • Ability to drive change and participate in transformative initiatives
              • Ability to work in high Energy and visible environments
              • Understanding and experience using ITIL concepts
              • 7+ years of Strong Financial services experience and/or 7+ years of Experience with Systems Development practices and tools: Java/J2EE IDE based tools, XML tools, C++, Visual Basic and other programming languages
              • Experience/familiarity with tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, ConfluenceWhat We Offer:
