Job Description:The Privilege Access Engineer is for the UNIX/Linux Privilege Access team. The primary responsibility is to maintain the health and welfare of the PowerBroker, Security Logging, and other security related infrastructures managed by the team.-- - Responsibilities include:Oversee the coordination, scheduling and implementation of production changes (i.e. OS, patching, and application)Provide 3rd level Operational Support and Troubleshooting of PowerBroker.Administration/configuration of PowerBrokerServer managementLearn new technologies to better support the infrastructureRespond to items such as patch bulletins by requesting resources and scheduling upgrades for all servers supported, ensuring appropriate processes are followed and deadlines are metAssist 2nd level team troubleshooting complicated user issues as neededSuggest improvements to processes and/or technology; create a plan to implement themPerform application updates, installs and testing Required Skills:Strong RedHat Enterprise Linux system administration skillsShell scripting and SQL query experienceExperience configuring, troubleshooting with an understanding of the ssh protocol and public key authentication5+ years advanced scripting skills (Python a huge plus)5+ years solid Linux/UNIX experience. Emphasis on scripting, automation, and performance.Working Knowledge of privilege elevation tools - for ex. PowerBrokerLoad Balancing TechnologiesWeb services softwareExperience working with DBMS technologiesExcellent oral and written communication.Must be able to communicate at all organizational levelsSelf-motivated, confident and reliableWilling to work in a team-oriented environment with global team membersMust be a problem solver with root cause analysis skills who brings solutions to the teamAbility to document installation procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), etc.Experience with ITSM Remedy or other ITSM tools Desired SkillsB.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferredWindows Server Administration experienceExperience in an Enterprise PowerBroker environmentBalabit Windows Agent LOB Job Profile:Leads and/or participates in the design, development, and implementation of complex system engineering activities involving cross-functional technical support, systems programming and data center capabilities. Responsible for components of highly complex engineering and/or analytical tasks and activities. Establishes input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility, coordination of subsystems design, and integration of total system. Viewed as a technology subject matter expert; able to provide and communicate complex technology solutions across differing audiences including technical, managerial, business executives, and/or vendors. Will have responsibility for multiple, complex projects; will direct activities of teams related to special initiatives or operations and may have direct reports. Leads the resolution process for complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. Information Technology degree and/or technology certifications preferred or substantial equivalent experience.
