Job Description - Software Engineering - Full Stack Developer - Intermediate Full Stack Developer - Intermediate TITLE: Full-Stack Java Software Engineer Location: Jersey City, NJOur investment banking client is searching for a Full-Stack Java Software Engineer to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis What You'll Do: As a software engineer you will be working with senior engineers and architects to develop real-time and highly scalable systems; and the candidate will be required to provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs for Post Trade Settlement, Confirmation, Accounting and General Ledger functions. This role will need to perform design and development and research the various technology standards, incorporate and ensure adherence to our financial client's standards. Skills / Experience You Will Need: 5+ years of Application Development experience Hands-on experience in core Java and web-technologies. Spring Boot, Spring Security/Integration/Batch, ORM/JTA, Web Services, REST API. Microservices architecture (ability to design and build architectural services). Cloud/Docker/Container/AWS application development/deployment React, React JS, Angular and/or other rich-client development is a plus, but not necessary Experience with database products like Oracle, Cassandra and MongoDB etc. Understanding of testing framework (i.e. JUNIT, Mocks Framework, Fitnesse, Cucumber). Thorough understanding of SDLC life cycle including Bitbucket and CI/CD Experience to lead other developers in agile scrum development Ability to think critically, strategically and broadly as key member of the team. Work effectively and collaboratively with other streams, teams and stakeholders. Experience in automated testing, functional validation, performance and capacity planning. Back-office (settlement & clearing), and other Settlement products. Experience building Post-trade/finance related services with low-latency/high-throughput user interface experience.
