Job Description:

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry in their Jersey City, NJ location. This is a 12 month + contract position.

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Responsible for supporting Development and SIT teams with Unix and DevOps related expertise
  
• Work as a member of Capital Management Team to assist in build/deploy SDLC & Isolated Environments
  
• Assist developers and testers in troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day environment related issues
  
• Understand hardware/software requirement, infrastructure maintenance (access management and patching routines)
  
• Create and maintain automation tools and utilities in UNIX/Python
  
• Participate, contribute, and can coach team members in the delivery/release (CI-CD) events, e.g., branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution, release notes
  
• Documents and communicates required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality
  
  
  Requirements:
  
  
  • 
    
  • At least 3 years' experience in UNIX Shell Scripting, UNIX Utilities (like AWK, SED, SSH, SCP, SFTP), Python
    
  • Strong in DevOps/CI/CD: GIT, Bitbucket, Ansible, XLR, and other Horizon tools
    
  • Experience in software installation in UNIX, troubleshooting UNIX issues
    
  • 2+ years' experience in Database concepts, strong SQL background in Oracle
    
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
    
  • Good written and communication skills
    
  • Taking ownership, heavy client focus, and a team player
    
  • Flexible and get the job done attitude
    
  • Experience working in large enterprise organization is a must
    
  • Possess strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns

    • Aware of existing test methodology (integration, regression, performance)
      
    • Active Directory/GPO knowledge is desired
      
    • Familiar with development and testing practices of the client
      
      
      Pay Range: $58.26- $66.26
