Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) Authentication is developing the next generation of tools and capabilities to protect our customers against evolving threats, retain their trust and simplify their authentication experience, while also protecting our customers from fraud and cyber threats. As an Engineering Lead for CCB Authentication you will partner with Product Owners across multiple areas to identify user needs, understand business value and work with cross-functional teams to manage product releases.

Responsibilities

As an Engineering Lead you will be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner with stakeholders on common goals. Job Responsibilities include:

  • Works closely with team and key stakeholders to design and drive the execution of high quality technology solutions leveraging firm-wide patterns, frameworks, and new banking architecture
  • Reviews team deliverables including design, code, and test artifacts
  • Provides clear and consistent feedback while encouraging team members to improve their skills and capabilities through active coaching
  • Embraces the need for experiments with resiliency and participates in retrospectives to understand the cause of failure and then pivot
  • Facilitates collaboration among disparate teams and builds new relationships across the firm
  • Clearly articulates goals through open and transparent dialogue
  • Leads 1-3 agile teams. 2 Teams is typical.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
  • Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
  • Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
  • Passionate about building an innovative culture
  • Prior team leadership (direct or matrix) required
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing Java platforms and technologies for development of mission-critical enterprise applications
  • Strong understanding of Object Oriented principals
  • Strong understanding of REST architectural style, RESTful APIs and RESTful Web Services
  • Experience working with the core Spring Framework, Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
  • Working knowledge of utilizing and administering Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools (e.g. Git, Subversion) for software development
  • Additionally, demonstrate a depth of knowledge in some of the following areas a plus:
  • Test automation with Cucumber
  • Software development using TDD techniques
  • NoSQL database technologies; preferably Apache Cassandra
  • Apache Kafka
  • Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) supported by Jenkins or similar automation servers

  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organization goals
