We're looking for a marketing communications professional and content marketing strategist to drive Verisk's brand voice, communications, and messaging across all digital and print channels and develop and implement successful content strategies-creating value for our stakeholders, including customers, employees, shareholders, job searchers, and others.

The Strategist, Content Marketing collaborates with all functional areas in Corporate Marketing, including brand, digital, and events as well as with the content leaders and marketing professionals in other company business units, to create and distribute relevant and valuable content to attract, acquire, and engage our target audiences. In addition, the role has interactions with company executives and other functional areas such as Investor Relations and Sales. The position is based in New York (Jersey City, NJ) and reports to the Vice President and Global Head of Communications.

The individual should have extensive content marketing experience and exceptional writing skills. The right candidate will have demonstrated great creativity in his/her work accomplishments and the ability to adapt to an ever-evolving modern marketing landscape.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the day-to-day processes and execution of the company's communications and content strategy, ensuring a theme-driven messaging framework.
  • Develop and expand our content library including presentations, blogs, contributed articles, and case studies, white papers webinars etc.
  • Collaborate with Leadership, Product, Sales, Regulatory and more to unify and evangelize company messaging
  • Produce thought leadership content for Verisk using internal and external SMEs
  • In collaboration with the team, recommend, develop, and execute strategic programs and communications to support sales (customers), marketing, investor relations, and corporate objectives
  • Identify marketing initiatives that elevate Verisk, position the company as a global thought leader, drive business imperatives, and align with corporate messaging
  • Research and recommend content strategies that boost awareness of Verisk's expertise, proprietary data, and track record of innovation
  • Along with the team, help establish a common framework for content strategy across the enterprise and work to align content-related activities and marketing initiatives
  • Help establish a process for and maintain Verisk-wide content calendars and guidelines for Verisk tone, style, and voice across all brand content
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Verisk's industries, businesses, product lines and value propositions, along with its competitive landscape

  • Web Content
  • Partner with external and internal teams to develop high quality, customer-focused digital content, including persuasive copy for microsites, product pages, and landing pages
  • Ensure content follows Search Engine Optimization best practices set by the digital marketing team
  • Champion and follow best practices for the team based on your understanding of SEO, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution, and measurement

  • Marketing Communications and Content Strategy experience (5-8 years)
  • Command of content strategy best practices that support our value proposition and build the Verisk brand
  • Proven success developing and executing marketing campaigns for publicly traded, global organizations
  • Clear, concise writing style that communicates complex ideas in a simple and straightforward manner
  • Knowledge of and ability to keep up with content management trends and martech tools
  • Exceptional grammar, writing, copyediting, and proofreading skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail with excellent communication and organization skills
  • Top-notch project management skills with proven ability to manage large complex projects independently and deliver commitments in a timely fashion
