People Analytics Leader (COEs)

As part of the People Analytics leadership team, you represent people analytics throughout AIG and to all levels of seniority. Leading a small team, your responsibilities include: collaborating with the Talent Management & Acquisition and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Centers of Excellence; explaining data findings to executives; and ensuring analytics is usable, actionable, and valuable for today and into the future as needs evolve and mature.

Responsibilities

Vision/strategy

  • Create and/or execute the People Analytics (Talent Management & Acquisition and DEI) vision and strategy, enabling solutions that cut across the entire employee lifecycle, in alignment with HR and business leadership priorities. You need to know, or quickly learn, the business, its key metrics and how to make the linkage between the business and talent.
  • Partner with HRBPs and Centers of Excellence to develop a standard set of key performance indicators (both lead and lag). Using fact-based solutions and data analysis, proactively advise our HR Business Partners to influence decision making and drive global people decisions.

Enablement

  • Transform large amounts of data into compelling visual stories to facilitate analysis and business decision-making, using data visualization tools. Ensure that the information is presented in a visually clear, concise, and business-relevant manner to senior leadership level stakeholders. Draw insights between Talent and DEI, as well as, between other COEs.
  • Implement standard processes for operationalizing insights and discoveries and then partner with key stakeholders to ensure adoption and value to the organization. Using the People Analytics Community of Practice, build HR capability and a data-driven culture.
  • Leverage tools and processes to provide standard reports and analyses in a cost efficient and timely manner. Move rapidly from providing standard reports to providing analytics to drive insights and interventions.

People Leadership

  • Lead small team of senior HR analysts/data scientists demonstrating AIG core leadership capabilities -- inspire, focus and develop.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, training and subject matter expertise to other members of the People Analytics team to increase the ability of asking appropriate questions, selecting the right metrics, interpreting the data and translating data into actionable insights.

Data Governance/Risk Management:

  • Promote a risk-aware culture when it comes to data. Ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
  • Keep on top of changing requirements and practices for maintaining ethical workforce data handling.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years related experience in a manager, director, or VP role
  • MBA or Social Science masters, Organizational Psychology related degree
  • Solid experience working with data and analytics, and deep statistical analysis, including creation thought provoking and professional reports and models using Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI or other analytics solutions as appropriate
  • Deep understanding of Talent Management & Acquisition and DEI practices including benchmarking, external research on best practices and development of dashboards
  • Change management experience at large, complex organizations undergoing transformations
  • Consultative, proactive, results-driven innovator who is at the forefront of data analytics
