Talent Advisor, Business Banking and CCB Functions (604, Executive Director)

The CCB Human Resources Talent Development and Readiness team delivers high quality solutions for developing and retaining talent across the Consumer and Community Bank, which is comprised of the following lines of business: Consumer Banking, Consumer Lending, Business Banking, Marketing, Communications, Technology, Operations, Digital, JPM Wealth Management, and Controls. The team partners with the HR executives and senior business leaders to deliver a strategic talent development agenda to drive business value through leadership development, building professional skills, overall capabilities and effectiveness.

As part of this team, the Talent Advisor for Business Banking and CCB Functions will partner with the CEO / Functional level business leaders and HR Executives in their aligned client groups to strategize, implement, and execute talent solutions aimed at the delivery of talent management, succession planning and readiness, promotion processes, performance development, diversity and inclusion, leadership development, and team/leader effectiveness. The Talent Advisor will bring expertise and talent solutions from across JPMC and CCB to meet the needs of the business.

The individual will bring broad Human Resources, Talent Management and Development expertise as well as consulting, facilitation, partnership, project management and analytical skills to drive strategies and initiatives in support of talent development and readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure an end-to-end talent development agenda for aligned client groups through partnership with senior business leaders, HR Business Advisors, and the firmwide Talent organization
  • Conduct needs analysis to identify gaps at the individual, team, and organizational levels
  • Deliver innovative development solutions for employees, managers/leaders, and teams by partnering across CCB and the firm (functions, lines of business, regions) to drive best practices, consistency, and measure impact
  • Lead the approach, facilitation and follow-up action planning for senior talent and succession planning and the identification of high potentials deeper in the organization
  • Drive adoption and integration of firmwide Manager Excellence across client groups
  • Operationalize and manage the diversity agenda in partnership with the business / functions, the CCB D&I lead, and Firmwide Diversity & Inclusion team
  • Advise on performance development approach and promote ongoing feedback, development and career discussions across client groups
  • Consult on change management efforts at the organizational level
  • Develop and/or implement development programs and other projects/initiatives including the identification and timely execution of deliverables, communications strategy, and implementation plan
  • Provide coaching in support of Leadership Edge leadership training and other development initiatives

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8-10 years Talent Management, Learning & Development, Organizational Development and/or HR Business Partner experience in a fast-paced corporate environment; financial services industry experience a plus
  • Executive presence and ability to influence and negotiate across organizational levels
  • Ability to drive change across client groups including stakeholder analysis, communication plan and measurement strategy
  • Experience managing large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience with client offsite facilitation and team building
  • Ability to partner across a large, global firm (e.g., across LOBs, regions, functions, levels)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient data analysis skills (quantitative and qualitative) and ability to identify themes/trends
  • Advanced PowerPoint, Excel and Word - ability to build senior level presentations and materials
  • Ability to summarize large amounts of data into a compelling story and tailor message to audience
  • Able to work independently and multi-task in a dynamic environment, managing multiple deadlines and priorities - large capacity
  • Team-oriented, actively participating to foster a positive work environment with peers
  • Comfortable operating in a matrix management structure
  • B.A. degree in related field; advanced degree preferred, or equivalent experience considered
