Job Description
The ISO Underwriting unit of Verisk Insurance Solutions is hiring
an experienced Product Specialist, in the Personal Lines
Underwriting division to support Location suite of products.
Job title: Product Specialist
Location: Jersey City, NJ or 100% Remote
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day activities of market leading Property Level risk
solutions, including identifying and supporting the execution of
product enhancements, identifying and analyzing data sources,
sustaining client and vendor relationships, and implementing
marketing initiatives in support with a focus on solutions to
increase quality and efficiency
Participate in the product portion of sales opportunities to ensure
effective positioning of the solution's value proposition and
customer comfort with the product capabilities for continued
revenue growth, including performing analysis and presentation of
proofs of concept, pricing of product and contract review
Liaise between product colleagues, marketing, information
technology, operations and sales to ensure streamlined messaging
driven by customer needs and how existing and emerging Verisk
capabilities can solve these needs
Assist in providing industry thought leadership through white
papers, articles, presentations, conferences, and customer
conversations
Point of contact in the organization for customer and internal
inquiries for resolution of issues or questions on functionality,
technical concerns, or other product questions
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (in a field such as business administration,
math, or statistics) or equivalent/related work experience
3 to 5 years personal lines insurance product, underwriting or
related role familiarity with P&C markets
Understands the basics of technology
Prior product development/management experience preferred
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills,
including presentation skills. Ability to communicate effectively
(verbally and in writing) on a business and technical level with
internal staff and external stakeholders
Strong critical thinking, analytical problem-solving and
negotiating skills; business creativity is a must
Ability to travel periodically (up to 10%-15%) to Verisk offices,
customers, business partners, and industry events
