Job Description
Join our talented Human Resources team.
Provide consultative leadership and own the resolution of employee
relations issues, investigate and offer recommendations/solutions
to employee complaints and concerns, analyzing data from various
internal systems; composing investigation reports; proposing
remedial action based on investigation findings and advise managers
in: employee coaching, counseling, performance monitoring and
evaluation, employment laws and company policies.
Analyze casework trends to produce strategic, proactive
recommendations to HR and the business to proactively address and
mitigate systemic issues
Independently manage assigned casework, bringing investigations to
closure rapidly and definitively
Partner in analysis and revision of people programs, policies, and
practices to sustain a productive work environment for Verisk
Employees
Stay current in state/province, federal and local employment laws,
ensuring the company, management and employees are in
compliance
Assist in identifying deficiencies and training opportunities for
managers, supervisors and employees in employee relations
matters
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources or
related field or equivalent working experience in a corporate
environment. PHR/SPHR/GPHR or equivalent regional certificate a
plus.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive human resources management
experience with a minimum of 5 years of extensive employee
relations experience
Strong working knowledge of Americas wide employment laws
Experience in developing human resources guidelines and procedures
in a fast-paced ever-changing environment
Ability to interact with, maintain strong relationships and
effectively influence multiple levels within an organization
utilizing strong analytical and problem solving skills, business
acumen and conflict management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong familiarity with all HR disciplines, as well as staying
current on best practices and HR trends.
Strong attention to detail and analytical problem solving
skills
Able to independently manage projects
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint,
Word and Excel
Ability to travel to various sites domestic and international
Motivated, resourceful, high energy, career-minded driven
individual with a polished can do attitude.
Able to manage multiple priorities in a high volume environment
where priorities change often.
