mission.OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE The SR Information Specialist's role
within the Takeda Library Services group will have daily
interactions with many of Takeda's internal functions, including
Research and Development, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Business
Development, and Medical Affairs. External interactions will
include contractors, service suppliers, publishers, and licensing
authorities. -The SR Information Specialist is expected to have at
least 2-3 years of experience in searching scientific and business
databases within the life sciences. - Strong skills in project
management, research & analysis, outreach and training, customer
service, and the information sciences main sub-disciplines are also
required. The position requires analytic skills, a high-level
aptitude for data collection, excellent communication skills, and
experience in setting and managing stakeholder expectations. The
role is a critical position, demanding experience in a global
setting and ability to engage global stakeholders across various
time zones & cultures.ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Ability to think strategically to maximize impact of the
library and information center
- Identification and evaluation of future tools to improve
current information processes
- Experience with organizational outreach to educate colleagues
about available resources and how to use them
- Demonstrated ability to form strong cross-functional working
relationships.
- Consistent follow-through and ability to collaborate with
colleagues, vendors and key stakeholders to drive execution of the
library strategy and plan
- Knowledge of copyright requirements a plus
- Strategic planning and results-oriented execution
- Flexibility to deliver in high-pressure situations and with
short deadlinesEDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
- BS in the life sciences; MS preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in a corporate library or knowledge
management setting, preferably within biotech/pharma
- Proficiency with complex database searching, Microsoft Office,
basic HTML, CRM tools, and other library application software
- In-depth knowledge of scientific publications, competitive
intelligence resources and other business publications
- Excellent presentation skillsVACCINATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Effective November 1, 2021, absent an approved religious or
medical reason, all US office-based and lab-based Takeda employees
who work fully on-site or in a hybrid model (as determined by
Takeda) must be fully vaccinated to work at a Takeda site or to
engage with Takeda colleagues or anyone else on behalf of Takeda.

reason, US field-based employees, employees must be fully
vaccinated in order to continue in their current roles. - US
employees who work at a Takeda manufacturing facility, and those
