Clinical Staff Job Description Section I: Job Identification Company Name: Jersey City Medical Center Job Code: H0064 Job Title: OR Technician Dept/CC#: 1191010 Department Name: Operating Room Section Name: Operating Room Reports To: Director OSHA Classification: Salary Grade: FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Section II: Summary of Job Function In collaboration with the perioperative registered nurse, the surgical technician will function as a member of the team to organize and administer individualizes age specific care to patients, maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes, and ensure patient s physiologic responses to surgery are as expected in the surgical suite and across the perioperative division Section III: Job Qualifications/Education/Training/Certification/Licensure Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required. Successful completion of all orientation and departmental programs required. Additional experience/training may be required based on departmental specific needs. Work Environment and Hazards Hazards include risk exposure to communicable disease, hazardous materials and physical injury from lifting patients, and from operating and lifting equipment.
