Must be open to traveling as needed for projects in New Jersey and Long Island area.Job Responsibilities:Lead completion of energy audits and retro-commissioning of various facilities including higher education, commercial, healthcare, industrial and municipalitiesIdentify energy conservation projects that include both capital and operational measuresAnalyze data from temporary data loggers, permanent submeters and fault detection diagnostic software to develop projectsTroubleshoot faulty systems and provide recommendations for corrective actionsPerform calculations of energy savings and help develop calculation templatesPrepare project implementation cost estimatesPrepare technical reports and presentations and assist in presenting to clients and senior leadersEnsure that savings projects for identified projects are plausible and financial risk is identifiedExperience with ongoing measurement and verification of projected energy savings is a plusConduct investment grade audits (IGAs) for energy projects in order to develop detailed scopes of work and solicit bids for fixed cost pricing from vendors to implement measures selected by the clientAttend jobsite meetings and field surveys as requiredPartner with Project Managers and to complete projects to ensure timely client deliverablesWork with national clients to help achieve sustainability goalsDevelop and train Project Engineers and Associate Project EngineersEssential Functions:In depth knowledge of HVAC systems (steam, air and water distribution systems, etc.)Field experience with HVAC systems - boiler, chillers, air-handlers, etc.Experience in estimating HVAC and other energy project costs a plusExperience in financial analysis of various energy projectsExperience in measurement and verification of projected energy savingsA willingness to learn and work in a team environment with extensive contact with clientsAbility to work autonomously and independently on tasks once properly trained by teamStrong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Power Point)Ability to travel up to 30%Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnelActively pursues technical development in areas relevant to project/team needsShares knowledge via team trainings upon requestAssists with tool development without guidancePresents results to customersDrives repeat business through excellent work; sales support as neededRequirements:5-15 years of experience in the energy, commissioning and/or retro-commissioning fieldBS in engineering or higherEIT/PE LicenseValid driver's license is requiredPreferences:CEM,CEA, or other technical certifications a plusProject development and implementation experience a plusClient facing communication skillsNetworks with key contacts outside own area of expertiseBusiness development skills and contributions with new and existing clientsWork Environment:Regular professional, office business settingNoise level ranges from low to moderate (if in office setting)Noise level ranges from moderate to high (if on construction worksite)Benefits for Full-Time Employees:Generous Paid Time Off (includes but not limited to Paid Parental Leave, Bereavement, Jury Duty, Sick, Vacation, etc.)National Holiday Pay & Float Holidays401(k) Employer MatchingHealth Benefits: Medical, Dental, VisionEmployer 100% Paid Life Insurance BenefitsEmployer 100% Paid Short Term and Long Term Disability PlansSupplemental (Flexible Spending Accounts, Commuter Benefits, Cancer/Critical Care, Hospitalization, Accident)Education tuition reimbursement program (from an accredited institution for college level and/or advance degree)Short Term Incentive (STI) Bonus Based on Performance Goals#LI-OnsiteNew York:Salary: $115,000 - $140,000 annually plus ESPP and Bonus, subject to experience.Edison Energy is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
