The Opportunity:
Mattel's Enterprise Data & Shared Services organization seeks a
Solutions Architect to provide technical guidance in the design and
delivery of enterprise business insights solutions. The Solutions
Architect is primarily responsible for developing technical
solutions to finance business problems/opportunities and taking
ownership of the solution from design to completion. This position
reports directly to the Sr. Manager of Enterprise Data & Shared
Services.
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Lead the requirements management process and implementation for
the Finance analytics and reporting solution and data requirements
for downstream applications, as part of Mattel's Finance
Transformation Program. The candidate will oversee the delivery of
the finance analytics and reporting solution adhering to Mattel's
reference architecture that includes Google BigQuery, Cognos
Analytics on Cloud, Tableau, and ThoughtSpot.
- Assist in translation of customer and business needs into
analytic and reporting requirements
- Assist with the Business Case Development for Business Analytic
investments
- Transform business requirements into functional and technical
specifications for the Enterprise Data & Analytics team
members.
- Manage project scope, acceptance, installation, and
deployment
- Lead key activities, and manage tasks and resources
- Work with the Enterprise Data & Analytics Development Team
ensuring development aligns with requirements, schedules, and
business expectations
- Deliver technical architectural design, plans and
strategies
- Develop and maintain logical and physical data models
- Perform data modeling for analytics and implementation
- Oversee development of the data extraction solution from Oracle
ERP Cloud to the Google Data Lake to meet analytics and reporting
requirements as well as downstream application
requirements.
- Oversee development of the reporting solution deliverables in
Cognos, Tableau, and ThoughtSpot.
- Perform Unit Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and
support User Acceptance Testing
- Lead quality assurance activities, including technical QA
reviews
- Provide technical leadership and mentor team members in
development efforts of the analytics platform
- Acts as the subject matter expert for Finance analytics and
reporting
- Provide planning inputs to ensure the scalability of the BI
environment
- Conduct Performance tuning and optimization activities for the
BI environment
Qualifications: Qualifications
What We're Looking For:
- BS / MS in Computer Science, Engineering preferred or
equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of IT experience.
- 5+ years of experience working with Finance systems. Candidate
must possess a strong working knowledge of finance business
processes.
- 5+ years of experience with enterprise data warehousing,
business intelligence, ad- hoc reporting systems, data integration,
and ETL, and knowledge of corresponding best practices
- 5+ years of experience working with analytics and reporting
technologies and familiarity with ETL processing, Informatica IICS,
Google BigQuery, Cognos, Tableau and/or ThoughtSpot is
preferred.
- Experience with SaFE Agile development methodology
preferred.
- Proven ability to model multi-dimensional data sets.
- Strong understanding of how to organize finance information
into effective, user-friendly, interactive dashboards and
reports
- Hands-on experience working with finance data visualization,
dashboards, and predictive analytics tools
- Familiarity with these software solutions is helpful:
- * Oracle ERP Cloud
- Blackline
- Hyperion Financial Management (FDMEE)
- Anaplan
- Coupa (Used for indirect purchases)
- High Radius for cash application and claim resolution (AR)
