Responsibilities









The College of Osteopathic Medicine at New York Institute of Technology seeks an Onboarding and Evaluation Assistant for the Office of Clinical Education located at the Long Island (Old Westbury) campus.

Obtain, track, and file over 3,000 4th Student Performance Evaluation (SPE) Forms from affiliated hospitals, and non-affiliated sites, including office preceptors, specifically: scan 4th year evaluations to electronic files and transmit to the Registrar's office.Update 4th year schedules when necessary so that they correspond with the SPE.Communicate with students, the Registrar's Office and affiliated sites regarding SPE Forms.Enter scores for all components of SPE Forms on database and enter overall scores into Guru.Ensure 3rd and 4th year students are successfully onboarded at least 4 weeks in advance of clerkship start date.Annually retrieve and store students' health/rotational records in NYITCOM database. Transmit rotational documents to affiliated sites and/or prompt students to transmit documents.Query database and follow up with students when updated documents are needed.Communicate with students and affiliated sites regarding documents needed for clerkship clearance.Annually disseminate to and retrieve authorization from students for Clinical Education to obtain and store health records.Work with Year 3 and Year 4 Rotation Coordinators to ensure students are cleared to start clerkship.Periodically audit schedules to ensure students are on track for graduation.Develop and maintain a database of information on our office preceptors to submit for CME Credits.Perform other duties as assigned.













Qualifications









A Bachelor's degree is required; must be able to interface with current educational management software systems. Must have strong computer skills, attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills. In compliance with local legislation as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, the annual base salary range for this position is listed. New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.
